Yoeman,I do not intend to hijack your thread.
Just a newbie question here: What benefits should I expect if I changed to a new spark plug.....on a 20k mile 4.0L 2005 Exp? Is there a such thing as best spark plugs?
Thanks.

Always use Autolites or Motorcraft plugs on Fords. Anything else and they just don't quite run right. As far as replacing your 20k mile plugs, pull one of them and look at it. If it looks worn, replace em.

To the OP, you will need to lift the truck up and go in through the wheel well. Its a bit of a tight fit but once you get in there its not bad to do with an extension and a swivel.
