Well, it depends on what you do to raise the front of your truck. If you do the add-a-leaves, it is a spring that is clamped under or above the stock springs, which raises the front. It also makes the front end ride stiffer, and the payload also increases. You could do what i did, and buy a whole new progressive leaf pack. It replaces the stock springs, and it rides a whole lot better. Rides alot better than stock. It's firmer, but not stiff. It makes the truck handle alot sharper, considering how big my truck is.
mine is a Rough Country kit that i got off ebay. The shocks in the kit suck, they are good for the round file. Upgrade to a set of Bilsteins, and you will have one great riding truck.
I am trying to figure out which leveling kit to get, but I can't figure out how many inches I need. If I measure from the lip of the wheel well to the ground on both the front and back will the difference tell me what I need? I did this and I got that I need 4 inches in the front to be level. I don't think my springs are sagging that much! also, do the regular front add-a-leafs for these trucks go in the middle of the spring pack or on the bottom? Thanks
believe the add-a-leaf kit goes on the bottom. I'm not sure on the super duties, but on many vehicles the wheel well is a bad reference. Measure from a body line, or the bottom of your running boards.
I have the Donahoe Racing 3" Leveling kit and love it. Rides better than stock. It's a hangar lift, so it keeps factory springs. It just relocates them 3" lower. You get Bilstein 5100 shocks which are nice.
