I see. Thanks for the pics. Whatever ESOF is, my truck doesn't have it. That's a big blank spot on the dash right in the way of the 4x4 shifter on my truck. I saw another out there on the forum (Jeep somebody) that mounted the controller to the left of the steering column. Might be a consideration if I knew that I wouldn't slam into it every time I got in the truck. It sure wouldn't stay mounted there for long. Looking to mod the upfitter pocket (I don't have the factory switches) unless somebody has another suggestion.
I see, said the blind man! Not to mention that even IF I had ESOF, I'd be able to reach the brake controller to apply manual braking, unless, of course, I bent in half, quit looking at the road, and reached halfway across the truck to find the manual lever, which, by the time I found it, would be completely unnecessary, because I'd already have hit whatever it was I was trying to avoid.
Papa_J,
Also spend the $15 bucks and get the pigtail for the brake controller that is specific for your vehicle. It has a plug on both ends and plugs in under the dash and into the brake controller. Then you don't have to make up any wire...
I was trying to install my new P-3 but I can't find the location for the pigtail to go into! Any help?
TIA
