cummins 6BT
I am fitting a cummins 6BT to my 1978 F100 4x4. It has a C6 3speed automatic. Does any one know what ratio diff I should use, and has any one foun that this motor leads to chassis cracks, and if so how can I reenforce the chassis?

Cummins Diesel Conversion
Wilcap Adapters in Arroyo Grande California is making a conversion kit to install a Ford Big Block auto tranny to the Cummins 3.9 or 5.9 BT engines....
The Dodge trucks ran a 3.55 rear ratio and it was very sufficient...earlier years had a 3.07 Dana 60 in the rear. All Dodge trucks ran a 4 speed OD tranny
Frame reinforcements? Just box the front area near the cross member with a cut down section of frame rail.
