I've noticed the temp senders for a '48-53 are a heck of a lot more expensive than for the Y-block. I want to use the original gauge for my '50 F-6 that is running a 292 Y-block, do I need to get the expensive '48-'53 sender or is there a cheaper and more readily available replacement that will work with the original '50 gauge and fit the 292?

I'd use the 292 temp sender.
