I just bought a new to me 1979 Bronco XLT with a 351M in it as the power plant but it is on propane, being as it is sitting with 38inch superswampers for tires i like to get dirty and muddy, as well i am new to own this propane powered truck and would like to ask if anyone knows how to get the most power that i can out of my engine?
USA 'Propane = AUS 'LPG'
First of all, is it a dual-propane/petrol setup? if so, to improve power, drop the petrol system and set the timing up for propane.
if it has huge tyres, you'll benefit from torque increase most of all, so get a cam custom ground for propane & high torque.
not sure if its the same in the US, but in AU there are better types of gas then others, (kleenheat is the best here) so if you set the timing up for high octane ensure you get the best stuff.
or you could just stroke & supercharge it, but I'm a bit biased on that...
