Proud owner of a new 2006 F-350, 6.0, crew/cab, short box, daullie. We had this configure in a 2000 GMC 454 and love it. With work, need to carry pallets of 3000 lbs or more but don't need the 8 ft box, and as the family love the crew/cab. I have seen the odd one here in my area, but would like to know just how rare are they on this forum.... aalook forward to hearing from you and how you like yours.

My buddy has the same truck but an '03 4x4...........
killaford, you dont think he needs a dually? hmmm. i would say putting 3000 lbs in the bed wouldn't warrant the dually either. the payload on a f350 cc 4x4 psd srw 6 ft bed is 4100#. the dually 6 ft bed is 5300#. however i would probably spring for the dually because i dont like to load up my trucks almost to the max and then drive around like that. it just puts more strain and wear on everything. i usually buy more heavy duty than i need so i know the truck will handle it and not strain doing so...

I see DRW's all over the place here in the Southwest (including mine) and I don't think I've seen one CC SWB.

I'm with Racer on this one. If you're going to be hauling that much weight regularly, it's best to get a truck with a payload capacity that's far greater. So if he's hauling that 1.5+ tons regularly, that DRW will definately have a better chance at lasting longer and was a good choice.
