tach hookup

tach hookup
I have a 04 heritage 4.2L w/5speed and i currently am running an aftermarket tach. I have ford racings tach driver hooked up on the crank position sensor and it causes it to miss every once in awhile. i guess its stealing the signal from the computer and causing the problem. i know you can also hook up to some wires on the coil pack instead. anyone know what wires these are?
how about the wiring harness that plugs into the instrument panel, anyone know which wire there runs the tach (for those who have a tach in the cluster)?

Guys, I wish I had specific info but I don't.
I seem to remember a few years back there were several guys who figured out the tach hookup.
I'll look back and see what I can find.
You can try searching this forum for "tach" and see if you can find anything that would be helpful.
