Tranny Problem f250 sd
Hi guys hope someone can help me I have a 2003 f250 with a 4r100 tranny. It seems that lately when I'm in overdrive or even drive, cruizing at about 1.5 rpm and I come to accelerate a little the torque converter doesn't come out of lockup so I give it a little more gas and the same thing happens.... more gas... still nothing but the engine is now starting to work hard and still revving at about 1.5 rpm (50mph).
I then have to either give it half throttle to kick down to drive ( if it's in overdrive)or release the gas and return to previous position and the torque converter will bring it back up another 500 rpm like it should. What Im trying to say is that up until about two weeks ago it was just fine with just a little touch of the gas pedal the torque converter would bring the revs up a little but it doesn't anymore. I had the tranny fluid and filter replaced and still no change. The mechanic plugged his scanner and it showed no codes. I took a tranny guy for a ride and he never heard of such problem and wants to open the tranny. I don't know where to turn anymore can anyone relate?
