Axle Question
I'm sure this has been covered at some point, but I haven't been able to find it.
My axle code is 39 - which the axle code article identifies as having 3.55 gears, and a 6250 lb capacity, made by Ford, and with no limited slip. All well & good.
HOWEVER, what is this axle called? Is it the Sterling 10.25, or something else?

There were a very few equipped with Dana axles, is the fill plug on the rear cover?
Sterling axle fill plugs are on the front drivers side beside the pinion.
Dana fill plugs are on the opposite side of the axle, in the rear cover.
