Shop recomend thread

A while ago we made a sticky thread where you could post good repair shops in our area. The idea is that we would have a record of places where other members had repair work done that they would recommend.

No one else has added any shops to the list - are these the only 3 shops in Northern California worth a dang?

This thread idea has came up in the Chapter Leaders forum, with other CLs wondering if the idea was worth while. I guess I will have to tell them it didn't work in our area. We, of course, only want to keep the sticky notes that are useful.

What do you guys think?

Well, I cringe at the thought of paying a dime to someone, when I can do it mysellf. I also rarely have a good thing to say about any shop after I've had a chance to look over what I've been chraged.

I'd recommend some place, but I can't, only could give advice to buy tools and take care of it yourself...time permitting ofcourse

How about a smog shop? or maybe a tire shop? a machine shop, or maybe a parts house?

I do my own repairs too - yet I have used Pep Boys, and do farm out the work on the later model cars. (I am not so good on aluminum and plastic. )

I was looking at that thread myself just yesterday, wondering why there hadn't been any more posts added to it. I would, but I can't think of a single shop locally that I'd recommend to put air in my tires...and if I could, I don't think anyone would drive all the way up here to the sticks to have it done!

Give it a little more time, Clint. Perhaps some folks just need a reminder that the sticky is there and will add to it. Hopefully, this thread will serve as that reminder.

Actually, now that I think about it I can recommend a good place to get air in your tires. I'll add it to the list right now!

Dan, there was a nice response to the thread recommending places to eat, would it work to include them in a combined thread?
