My post got a couple links edited to some dyno results lists I had posted... so you'll have to search for those.

I know this may be a horrifyingly dumb question but...can our 6.0's be changed to common rail? if so what would it cost...and dont say get a new engine put in
How much money are we talking to get my truck into the 11's? and while im at it what is the fastest street legal diesel in the country if anyone knows!

Common rail? Best bet is to wait for the 6.4 injection system and try to retrofit it. Estimate, 5-6k cost to do so.

11 seconds? Honestly? On a street driven truck? To actually build a RELIABLE (No, I don't want to hear about joe-blow shooting nitrous on his chopped regular cab 2wd truck running 11's on a near-stock engine; thats not realistic, streetable, and has to refilled IMO) you are looking at about 15k to properly build the long block, 6-7k for a pair of compound turbos (if it is to be street driven), 2-3k for the injectors you would need to support that kind of power, around a thousand dollars for a good quality fuel system, and around 3k for the transmission needed to stand it.

There are several who have built reduced weight, small chassis trucks, injected nitrous and done this reliably, but to me that is not practical or streetable.

Not sure about this, because I'm not sure which are street legal and which aren't. There's a small white dodge from Washington driven by Bill Fletcher that has run 10.13 (and supposedly can run 9s, but he keeps it dialed down slightly to avoid having to install all the special safety gear required for a 9s vehicle, and to avoid getting kicked from his local track, or something like that )... but I don't know whether it is street legal (working blinkers and all that). I think it is, though.

One truck I do know is street legal is Maddog's '95 F350 with the 12 valve cummins ... he has run a 10.59 in the 1/4.

Fastest powerstroke would be David Lott's Snow White at 11.12, and it is street legal as far as I know.

Well I have drove my v10 my buddies 6.0 and my dads 06 dodge, my 10 and my buds 6.0 are both pretty quick and fast the cummins is def. not as quick.
6.0 is stock 3.73 gears, my 10 has 4.30s a locker and a few other mods, my dads 06 is stock with 3.73 ls, my 10 is def. quicker and faster than his stock cummins, however I had a chance to run a 06 dodge that was stock except for a tuner and 35s I also have 35s on mine in the summer, all I can say is on the lowest tune it was even and when he ran the 230hp crazy larry tune it was not even close, that stock 06 cummins with the crazy larry tune is a fuggen rocket, black tornado and sounds like a jet on take-off, not a dog like the older cummins.

Typical work day for me starts at about 2 in the afternoon and ends at 5-6am; so 8:30pm to me is AM time for most people. Feel free to call.
