? For Edge Owners

Did any of you previously have the Diablo Preditor? Just wandering if switching to Edge and eating the $400+ would be worth it. Diablo gives good performance but doesn't have the dash mounted display. What other advantages would Edge offer IYO?

Given the fact that it sits on the dash and that you can monitor quite a bit of info, you can also change tunes in a matter of about 60 sec. I switched from level 2 to level 3 at a stop light before it turned green. Yes you do have to cycle the ignition but it's like a shift on the fly tuner. Also for me to be able to monitor my trans temp while pulling my load is one of my favorites.

I bought it mainly for the tranny temp guage. If you dont tow and you have no need to monitor the 14+ guages then there is little use for you. You wont get better performance out of it. It will just give you a little bling bling if that is what you are wanting. I would discourage changing tunes in the middle of the road too. I have heard of the edge making the trucks undrivable; from more that one person.

Nothing but good things to say about my Edge. Follow the guidelines and do your research here and you will be fine. (Little adjustments) $400? I Bought mine two weeks ago for $309 including shipping. Shop around.

Does the edge give you tranny temp and all those other readings without putting a temp sensor in the tranny????

Yes, The Port under the dash has a lot of info available. I think it's called an OBII port. All these computers in these cars today, It's not like the old days.

I would like to give the Edge Evo a shot, as I like all the feedback I have seen and the guages seem like a plus, but out here in California they are legal for racing only.

Anybody from Cali got an opinion or advice?

So your are saying it doesnt really help performance all that much??? I wish I could find something like that just for the gauges without having to put in a bunchof sensors especially the tranny temp don't suppose you have heard of anything like that??

it helps performance a great deal...he is saying you may not see much gain over your current programmer. You dont have to put in any sensors - everything is already there.. You just plug it in and get all your info!

I heard discountpowerparts.com was giving a discount to FTE members, but have been unable to figure out how to get that discount. If anyone knows, please enlighten me.
