fuel filter light

what does the fuel filter light supposed to mean??

Not enough fuel coming out of the filter, could mean clogged filter or bad fuel pump as was the case when mine came on

how many pumps on a 92. lift injection and what else it has only done it on one tank( the rear one)

The light indicates a vacuum in the filter header, as stated no fuel flow, plugged filter or bad lift pump. Since it is rellevant to one tank only I would check the FSValve for operation. When switched the valve should ziip back and forth, when switched it will change the fuel gage/tank fuel level to the one selected.
