Removing EGR

I have a 1973 2 WD F100 manual breaks. I recently remove the three speed manual trans the 240 motor and replaced it with a 302 from a 1978 bored 40 over. I installed a c4 trans and while I was at it I installed power steering. I had a lot of problem getting the truck to run and with the help from you guys it is running pretty good not perfect but good. My new problem I do not have any of the emission part except the egr valve that was attached to a 1973 302 manifold. I think it would be difficult to find all the parts I need so I want to remove the egr valve. Can I just remove the spacer plate/egr valve and put the carb right to the manifold. Next question vacuum for the distributor is that the port under the auto choke. I forgot to mention I have a rebuilt 2100 carb. The vacuum for the trans I pulled off the rear of the intake manifold.

Once again thanks for your help I do appreciate it.

you can remove that spacer plate but you still have to have a spacer for the linkage to clear the intake, just pick one up from your local autozone or checker

Have a look here for the type of spacer.

I'll have to check for the ported vaccum port on a 2100.

Without EGR the engine may ping at part throttle. You would need to adjust the vacuum advance.
