We bought a devilbiss compressor a few years ago powered by a honda 5hp engine for around $650. It's wonderful for around the farm, we've aired up numerous tires, blown out tons of radiators, and ran our air hungry impact off of it lots of times. It even got stolen from us and managed to make it's way back home again!
While it was stolen we were looking for another. The store where we bought ours at stopped stocking them so we checked at sears. They had one in their catalog, but it was on closeout and they weren't goint to be stocking it any more. It was basically the same thing, a 30 gal tank with a 5 horse honda engine. I believe it cost $750.
