Explorer Idiling Problems

I have a 1998 Eddie Bauer Explorer with a v8 in it. Since it started getting cold out it will not idle well for me in the morning. When i go to start it up it goes up to 1000 rpms then goes down and fluctuates between 200 -500 rpm to the point it wants to shut off. After it warms up for a few minutes it runs fine. The check engine light came on and the code P0455 came up i checked the gas cap and dip stick to make sure they werent throwin the code. I talked to some people and they say it could be the iac or a throttle body sensor or an o2 sensor i have no idea where to start. If someone knows anything or has had the same problem i would greatly appreciate any advice you have.

I had an explorer that did the same thing, the dealership ended up replacing the computer module...it worked fine after the $1200 dollars of work.

check your AIC(Air Input Control) first, it is a common problem. Ther are proceedures to clean it listed in the posts, there used to be a sticky.

Same here, but I only paid about $300, because no parts thrown at it.

I would definitely take aquanaut20's suggestion of cleaning the IAC first though.
