engine rebuild advice

I've been reading these forums for quite some time while looking for a truck to restore. I finally got my truck and now need some advice. I'm not much of an engine guy, so my mechanic friend is going to put it together but i have to get all the parts. The motor is a 360. It is going to be an everyday Driver (except for the winter). So my goal is to have a fast, healthy motor without goin to crazy. So after hours in these forum's i have a plan.
1. Find a 390 crank and rods.. Is there a company i can get these from or should i just hit the junkyards and see what i come up with?
2. Get the KB150 pistons and ring set
3. Crane Cam and lifter kit 343901
4. Get the heads ported and polished
5. Headers and exhaust
Like i said i dont know a whole lot about motors and wont be doing the work. just watching and learning. So i dont really need the tech info. What i'm asking you all is about my parts list. Will this setup be good? What else might i need to purchase to get this job goin? Thanks in advance for the help
Ross

Oh i also plan on grabbin a holly 4 barrel and intake

Well, you can do about anything you want. But I bought an '69 F100 with the 360 and then bought a 390 to build. That way, I can drive my truck while I'm doing the engine. I paid $125 complete from intake to oil pan. It's sitting on an engine stand while I aquire money and parts. Just my two cents....

That looks like it'll work. I'd hit the junkyards for the 390 crank and rods.
