Reinstalled DP-Tuner now MAJOR problems! Please Help!

Cool Reinstalled DP-Tuner now MAJOR problems! Please Help!

Last week I sent my chip back cause it wasn't working right. I just
reinstalled it and everything seems fine except the #5 120 level
kills the engine instantly. It also made to SES light come on. I went
to pull the codes and six came up.
here they are
P0640 Manifold intake air heater
P0503 Vehicle speed sensor erratic/high
P0305 Cyl. 5 misfire
P1211 ICP pressure above or below desired
P1284 ICP failure
P0567 Cruise control resume signal malfunction


I didn't even get the truck out of my drive and all of this happened. Got
any ideas? I can't figure why some of these would have came up.

If your sure your installation is 100% I would give Jody a call.

0640 = AIH Delete
1211 & 1284 = if still running 18K probably throwing it out of range (Jody bumps ICP in programming)
0305 = could be tied to 1211 & 1284 if ICP dropped while 5 was about to fire

0503 & 0567 could be an issue with wiring in column and just coincidental Clear the others up and see if these come back

Hey, lot of good advice here. One problem though, I would not think it is the chip unless you have disconnected the 18K. If so, when one setting works, they usually all work. Rare to have one bad tune. Is the 18K disconnected? If so, call Jody.

Yes 18k has been disconnected for close to a month. I cleared the codes and the SES ligh didn't com back on til I went into #5 again. Then same thing, it killed the engine and SES came back on. They added more fuel to all of my programs went I sent it back and I'm thinking something weird happed when they put the 120 back in. It's only happening on that level. All the others are fine and uninstalled it's fine. I've never thrown a code for the AIH and I've had that mod for close to 8 months. Something else is going on here.

Sounds like a bad burn on the 120 give Jody a call.

I guess I'll have to tommorrow. This really sucks. I bought my DP 3 weeks ago and it's onlly been in my truck two days. The rest of the time it's been in transit somewhere. Hopefully he can get it fixed. I alreay almost to the point of just getting my money back and saying **** on it. I knew out of all the people that have great luck from there tuners I would have to be the one exception. Thanks for the help guys. I gotta go back to work now. I rushed home cause I found out my chip got delivered today. OH Well!

Jody just double checked all the files that Dennis has access to. They look fine. I cannot think of any reason why just one program would do this because of how the F5 burner software allows you to see each program as they are being burned, except when in transit from the ftp that something messed up. This will be something you will need to discuss with Dennis @ ITP. Since he is on Arizona time I would give him a call.

If you put it in the 120 setting with the truck turned off, will it start?

I tried to call him from around 5:30 our time til about 8 our time never got an answer.

Cookie it won't start in the 120 setting and the SES won't go out til I clear the codes. Then it's okay as long as I don't put it in the 120. It cranks but acts like it's not getting fuel. I'm wondering if Dennis maybe put the anti theft in the wrong spot and it's cutting the fuel. Seems like if that was the case it would kill out slowly instead of instantly.

Who cares about looking bad. It isn't working. Having said that, I have dealt with Dennis, and from the folks here I know DP Tuner is straight up so I have no doubt you will get taken care of. Hang in there. Better than an Ebay as is purchase. You will get what you paid for.
