i did search and i found out how to change the bushings. im all set on that my problem now that i broke the nut and bolt off the back of the arm on one side so i need to replace the arm now. i have cut the arm off and i have the front spring out and both nuts off of the bolt.my question is is the bolt threaded in to the axle or can i just beat it out. i have been trying to get it lose for an hour i just found an turbo tourch that runs off of acteline or how ever you spell it. it gets hot but not as ho as a cutting tourch. i need to know if trying heat is a good idea and if so were should i heat it up at. thanks and im sorry for all the dumb questions im just getting very frustrated and need to get my truck fixed bumming rides sucks

They have a smooth shoulder. Just bang it out.

It doesn't screw in.

The bushing is probably rusted to the bolt

Are you heating the I-beam or the bolt ?

You want the hole in the I-beam to expand ....not the bolt

Double nut it and break it loose first with a breaker bar. Then knock it out

heres a couple tips for those nasty bolts.

smack it with a hammer if its threaded into a part. it sometimes will free it from the shock. works great on frozen plugs tap them before you take them out to avoid stripping the hole out.

if you dont think its frozen fast or beyond help try the old drill and easyout because once you heat it with a torch it cant be drilled.

if have a thru hole and can get a drill bit thru it but the easyout wont budge it. you can burn the bolt out of the thread . go easy the goal is to urn the bolt not the hole. stop if the thread gets hot and let it cool. same principle goes if you want to burn the nut off the bolt to safe special bolts of large parts.

in any cutting case actylene/oxygen i personally think is better because its reduced heat. MAPP gas is great to burn big parts and heat and it will throw out some heat.
