5.8 engine whistling?
hey guys, i have a 1997 f-350 with the 351 5.8 in it. it only has like 70,000 something miles on it, but ever since its been starting to get cold, i get a random whistle coming from my engine at idle. it stops when i rev it or accelerate. this only happens when the engine is cold, but it is extremely random. it doesnt happen at every start up, and sometimes happens after ive been driving a few minutes. anyone have any ideas? i get no check engine light or anything, i just wnat to know whats going on.
the engine is basically stock, except for a k&n intake. and i just put true duals on it with new cats and mufflers, but i dont think thats an issue. can anyone give me some clues?
