Turbo?
getting a sort of squeal when engine is cold, sounds like it's coming from the turbo. bearings going bad? 178,000 miles.
also, I have a 2001 extended cab, can't open drivers side rear door. tried from inside, working the door latch guts, could not pop it open, any ideas?

I am no expert but I would suggest taking the inlet tube of the turbo and check out the fins to see if they are damaged. Give the shaft a spin with your fingers to see if there is any free play. If that checks out okay I would look somewhere else for the source of the sound. I am not sure where you are but where I am it is cooler in the mornings now and the turbo whisltes a little more now. as for your door, something broke inside, you will have to take the inside panel off and have a look.
