NP 435 clutch
Here's my situation: I've got a 91 f-150, 4.9, mazda 5 speed long box. I've got a 90 f-150 frame with a 351 and a e4od. I also have a np 435 from a 85 dodge that I'd like to use in this project. What's basically happening is the body and lift kit from the 91 are going on to the 90 frame. I don't want to use the e4od for any reason. If I could find a ZF 5 speed for a decent price, I'd use it, but I already have the NP unit. Now, did for ever put a np 435 in a 87-91 style truck, that might maybe have a hydralic clutch setup? I'd really like to not use a mechanical linkage if I can help it, but... Basically all I'm trying to do here is figure out what I need to make this work, and what I can buy and what I'll have to make. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

You can convert the NP435 to use a hydraulic clutch, you just need a bellhousing from an NP 435 that had a hydraulic clutch. Ford used that tranny up until 1986, so it shouldn't be too hard to find one.
