I have a 2004 Ford 4x4 F-150 Crew Cab Lariat...I allready have 37" x 13.50 x 20 rims and tires, im ordering a leveling kit as wellas Fabtech 6" suspension lift. If i had two people is it possible to install this myself, and what would i need?
thanks
A pretty good sized jack or llift, jack stands if you use a jack. You might need a torch. But the kit will pry tell you everything you will need. Or atleast they try.
every suspension kit I've ever installed has been a self leveling kit. say for example a 6"...the front will be lifted a true 6" and the rear is only 4" due to the designed droop in the suspension. if you place a leveling kit in there, you will make it harder to align your tires (the front suspension drop brackets probably won't be designed with leveling kit in mind) and you'll also need to add another 2" worth of lift to the rear
btw, if you're doing this in your garage, make sure to account for your new ride hieght. I lifted my bronco and had to roll it out of the garage on the brake drums due to a clearance headache
