Mysterious leaking fluid question

Wow, havent had to post for a long time but once again I need the help. 1997 psd, f350, crewcab 4x4. After I drive the truck a while and I park it, I get about 2 tablespoons worth of clear liquid dripping right at the transmission inspection cover. Heres the problem. It's not antifreeze, mines green. It's not engine oil as its dark colored on the dipstick, It's not trans fluid as mines red. I thought fuel but it wont light on fire. It's not a/c condensation as I havent used the a/c for over a month. It never did this before. It started about three months ago. The truck has 347,000 kms and it always dripped a drop or two of oil since I owned it but this stuff is a clear liquid. Any ideas? Thanks for any input. I will check back in a day or two.

look on the top of your engine, inspect down in the valley of the block and see if it is wet.if soo you might have a leak in the fuel system.just a thought.

It's probably fuel, you can't set diesel on fire very easily. Smell the fluid on the ground.

l-m tech is right, look in the valley of the engine. Fluids leaking in that area will flow out a hole in the back of the engine valley, run down the back of the block an show up at the bell housing area.

Better start checking the "fuel in the valley" posts on the page. I cannot believe how many posts there about the lift pump leaking diesel. I guess until mine started leaking, I didn't pay much attention to them. Your fluid is probably diesel from the weep hole in the fuel pump. There are some great instructions for its replacement from BEECH69 in this forum. Search lift pump and it should pop up.
