Question 292 Block #'s Don't match

I am looking to buy a 292. the seller said the block id is EVB 6015C. On my Y-Block Casting Numbers list I don't see this #. What is it Guys?

Looks like the guys fingers were not in sync with his brain when he was typing. I suspect he meant to say "EBV" which would be a 256 block - not a 292 like you want. However, if you read through this forum you might be able to find out if it could be bored to 292.

OK finely got the right numbers. It's a 239. To small and no way to bore it here. So still looking for a 292 or bigger used that will run while I overhaul the 272. Thanks guys

Last time I talked to John Mummert I thought hi said he had some rebuilt long blocks ready foor install. If you are close to his shop in San Diego might be easier than doing the double engine swap. Gerry

Yeah I guess it's kind of far for John to ship a long block. Keep him in mind for parts, really knows what he is talking about, not that others around can't help either.
South east Alaska it even sounds cold. Good luck Gerry
