obscure tool
a friend gave me a B&D Zip-Saw mod HS600. i like the saw but blades are impossible to find. my question is does anyone have such a critter, and if so where the hell do you get blades?? B&D website is no help. thanks if you can help

They look like standard jig saw blades. Take one with you to a hardware store, or Sears.

bdox i saw that in my searches yesterday. then tried to get more info in the B&D site. very limited. ill have to call coustomer servicer today. thanks for looking though.
jbull, i wish it were so. these are larger in the shank with an odd shape.
ill try to scan 1 and post a pic. damn i wish i had a digital camera.

this is the shank though much larger. its about 1/3 larger than a jig blade

much smaller, it's a freak i realize. i thought someone besides me might own this type saw. no wonder its discontinued

I checked and there are 3 blades listed as available for the HS600 on the Service Center site. 1 for wood, 1 for plastic and 1 for metal.
