Hmmmm, my book doesn't go back that far. BUT.... try E-mailing to "Kenny", the Moderator of this FTE site. He seems to have a great deal of VIN info, etc. Sorry couldn't be more help, but hope this gets you the info you want.
Daryl
Soso, those look like Canadian codes. How do you place it as an F1? Could it be an F47? The only numbers I've seen that are close were from a Canadian 1950 F68 One ton Vin number OF83H50 - *****
You might find something you can use from this website. His stuff is mostly newer, but there are some good links that might help you. If I come across any other info, I'll let you know.

soso,
Daryl's right, Kenny might be able to help you out when he returns on December 1st or so. I think he's mostly got info for the 1957-1960 years but he's very helpful and may have some info for your specific truck.
I agree with Tim that your codes look like the truck was manufactured in Canada. I know there are a bunch of you "North Of The Border" owners out there - anybody able to decode this VIN for soso?
ford has a research dept that will decode it for you. you can e-mail a request from their site at ford.com, they were really helpful on my 59.
good luck, matt
