ABS light C1230

I am getting anintermittent C1230 code on my 99 expy. I know this is the rear wheel speed sensor, but where is it physically located. I couldn't find anything on the rear differential that looked like a sensor. Is it on the transfer case somewhere?

Also, where is a good place to buy a new sensor? My local parts store didn't stock one.

Just because they don't stock doesn't mean they can't get it in a day or two.

Speed sensor is either on the transmission/transfercase tail shaft or diff housing.

The rear speed sensor is on top of the rear differential. One bolt and one plug-in.
