transmission

is there a difrence in the trany for a 89 f350,7.3and a 1993 7.3 ?sutch as a lockup torkcon and a non lockup torconvetor.

I think the electronic package is different. I could be wrong, but I think the 93 has more computer control.

But there is some thing that i notice ,the wiring harnis is the same.

The difference could be that one is a c-6 and the other is an e4od. If they both look the same then they could both be c-6's, but I am not an expert on the transmissions behind 7.3l diesels of that time period. Maybe the transmission board will help you ID the tranny's. The E4OD was used behind the 7.3L at some point in time but I remember some discussion that it was in the early to mid 90's then the transmission was redesigned and designated by ford.
