Does any body have an idea on where i can get plans to build a flat bed for my rig? I've seen a few pics on here of trucks that have them with the headache rack. and how do you load pics on here?
Actually I bought mine at a trailer sales that also handles truck beds.
I could not have built my own for what I paid for the one I have.
To post pictures you have to set up your gallery.
The picture gets uploaded to your gallery.
Then to display a picture you link to the picture in your gallery.
actually i would like to have a set up similar to yours. but i havent been able to find anything i like on the market. i have access to all kinds of scrap metal, so materials are not an issue. i just neep an idea on how to set it up. oh and thank you for the info on the pics. i should have some up soon now that im home.
The two 4" channels that are sticking out from the frame now have 30" under bed tool boxes on both sides. Most people flip out because the boxes do not go up with the bed. When they see the boxes they all think it is just a flat bed.
The hoist is electric over hydraulic and will dump 7 tons in 30 seconds. Plus it goes up steep enough I can dump wet clay without much sticking to the bed even though it is diamond plate steel, not smooth.
What you see is 20 years of improvements, and I am not done yet. I wish I would have started with an F350 4x4 crew cab dually though. That would have made the road to where I would like to be much shorter.
One day when I am rich and famous I will find an 86 4x4 crew and do a ground up restore adding all the improvements I have figured out over the years. This trial and error truck building is fun, but it does get expensive at times.

dave you say you wish that you had an f350 instead. hhmmm??? is the f250 chassy not as strong as the f350 chassy. my truck has the axles and leaf springs off of a f350. i was going to put duals back on the rear end. will the f250 chassy be strong enough?
