Today was fall brawl. it was a GREAT day, as much fun as i've had in a long time. i got lots of comments on the rig, plus i ran the best power of my history. in the spring i had 33s, and since then, i've added a fuel system, and an ATS housing, and i broke the 300/600 mark finally. my best hp was 309, and my best torque was 602. but remember, that's on the 37's. i wonder what the 33's would have done. oh well.
i also took home a trophy for the day, Best Ford in the show and shine. i got my pic taken but i dont know where they will load them.
Well Kris, if memory serves me correctly, and I doubt it, that's about a 12 HP improvement over your last right? I can't remember the TQ stuff but congrats. Still running that TS? Seems to be serving you well enough.
no, Mech did not dyno. he parked 20' away from me. i went to walk around and a few minutes later he was gone, about lunchtime. the line for the dyno was long as hell and he didnt feel like waiting.
the old numbers were 291/579, on 33's. i want to know if 55 pound heavier rotating mass wheels and tires on the dyno will affect the power output, or act like flywheels? my hp increase over last time is 18, and the torque is 23lb-ft.
What kinda numbers did Dockboy turn? I too am curious about the flywheel or drag effect of bigger wheels and tires. My guess is power loss. Not only have to keep them spinning, I would think there would be more rolling resistance. JMO though. Nothing scientific.
I have some video of Dockboy on the rollers but I'm sure the link would be blocked. No I didn't dyno, got there late and the line was too long. I did get to talk to Jody and it looks like there is more to be had. Oil #'s are good and programing is old. May top the 500 mark who knows.
For those that haven't seen Kris' truck the pics don't tell the whole story, that truck is awsome.
