OIL Filter

Any special filter required when switching to synthetic oil ???

nope, plain ol' MC oil filters are fine.

I recently bought a Mobil 1 filter and am really impressed with the quality. When you hold one in your hand it is obviously heavier than other filters but also more expensive.

Yep, use a quality oil filter such as WIX, NAPA GOLD, Motorcraft, Baldwin, Donaldson, and you will be fine. Good luck.

Mobil 1 oil Filters are also okay, for around $10. My top 3, ABOVE, are the best bang for the $ in my opinion.

I know you didn't say, but If by going to synthetic oil, a goal is to also extend your drain intervial, make sure your filter can go the distance, without unraveling!!!!

Motorcraft filters are designed to safely do 7500 mile OCI's.

Don't do extended OCI's with inexpensive paper filters!!!!

Just some additional thoughts for consideration.
