steering column
Alright Ive decided to use my 79' bronco frame and running gear to go under my 64' now short bed body one of the problems im figuring on is the steering column. the 64' originally was not 4x4 thats what the bronc is for. the column in the 64 is the solid column all the way to the box. So ive got to change the column regardless, but the column in the bronc is no good so ive got to find another one should i try to stay with a 79 column and fab what needs it or what????

Make sure you take some pictures and maybe do a "how to" on the changeover. I recently bought a '94 Bronco and don't think for a second that the thought of putting my '66 shorty onto that chassis. As for your steering column, I agree with putting a '79 back in and fabbing any needed brackets/wiring harnesses. Good luck and keep us posted.
