roller and non-roller dist. differences...

hey all, im thinking of going roller this winter in my 87 5.0. if i get a rebuilt roller short block for a mustang, can i just use an 86-93 mustang dist. i mean...will my harness still plug up to it, or should i change the gear on my factory dist. thanks

The only difference between the roller and non roller distributor is the drive gear. If you have one already that works with your wiring harness just change the gear, it's a simple job with an ordinary puller.
