I've kept the engine all factory on my F350 since I am still under warranty and didn't want any problems. I had a K&N on my old F150 and it was a great product. My intake was as clean as the day I bought it. But on My F350 I'm suspicious of the seal between the air filter and the pipe to the MAF and the turbo. There's also a TSB on the " air cleaner "housing appears warped/misaligned." possibly causing a leak. So far I've been stonewalled by the selling dealer and Fords customer service center. This dirt got in from somewhere. If your turbo is dusted then you should have your mechanic due a crankcase pressure test. That gave me the bad news on my truck.

Am I in trouble
I just bought a '05 f-650 with 6.0 p.s. . Got it home with 300 miles on it and was towing trailer up hill when it caoughed and sputtered. Limped home with horror and dismay. Dealer picked it up, looked at it and said the turbo was all dirty. They claim to have cleaned it, although there is no sign of anything being done, no new smudge marks on motor. Seems to be running fine now. Also noticed a small leak on exhaust manifold at cold start up . Looks like coolant. It goes away as engine warms. Truck is back in shop now with 2000 miles. Am I in deep or what ?
