Hi i was wondering what kind of headers i need to get to clear the stock steering box on my 49 that im putting a 5.0 in. maybe i could take a right side header and put it on the left side so it exits out the front? Im open to any ideas
I used flowtech headers on my 54...they worked great and had enough room for my power steering.....some other guys might have some ideas also...good luck

I used Sanderson's in my 48 with the stock suspension and a 302. Interesting enough I am still using the same set of headers in it with Volare suspension and a 351W engine. No fit problems in either case.

James,
Where did you find Flow tech headers?? Summit?? I have a 5.0 in mine
with a Toyota conversion and am having problems finding headers that will fit. Have five sets for this motor but no cigar.
I'm also using block hugger headers by flow tech on my 54, with a 302 and the Toyota P/S, I bought them from Auto Zone for $117.00. By the way did anyone notice that there aren't any more dashes between my words? I bought a new key board, why didn't anyone tell me they were only about 20 bucks I would of gotten one along time ago instead of waiting for christmas.
