I'm doing a 302 sb & c4 trans swap into into a 1955 f-100, and I need to know will any automatic floor shifter fit right into the truck (cutting into the the floor and all ofcourse) with a c4 trans? The shifter I'm thinking of specifically is made by Lokar it's the 23" nastalgia automatic floor shifter. Any idea if of any floor shifters that would clear a stock bench seat?
I have the Lokar setup. The model I used is a little shorter and it was not hitting the seat even in 1st. Check my pix for location and clearance. Good luck, Jag
fit the shifter on the floor before you cut the floor to get good placement. i'm running a 23 inch lokar floor shifter with bench seats and have plenty of clearance.

I have the same 23" shifter except on an aod tranny, plenty of seat clearance. It's easily adjustable to fit close or further away, depending on how you like it.
here is mine. it is the lokar 23 inch like you explained on a C4/302 combo. I dont know if you can see or not, but you can move the shifter forward or back using the plate it is mounted on... with the seat in there is a decent amount of clearance in 1st gear.
