Just bring attention to the fact that ford already has a "powerstroke" brand of engine overseas that is an MWM 2.8 turbodiesel they put in the ranger, and MWM making engines of many sizes and applications, leading in green diesel technology, would be fully capable of producing the 6.4 powerstroke. I could be wrong, but we'll never know till they actually come out with it.

Definately betting money againts a cummins or cat or mercedes going into a ford....

What's MWM?

 

MWM is a company that navistar aquired. It is a diesel engine manufacturer. Their 2.8L turbodiesel is the powerstroke in the ranger.
If you go on the navistar site, you will notice that there is a "pickup truck engine" heading under the MWM icon, although like anywhere else there are no specifics about the 6.4.
But yes, there could very well be (and already is) a powerstroke that isnt 100% international, its just a question of the 6.4...
