What if.................

What if you woke up one morning, and there was no internet.

Nothing.

"BAM!''-Just gone.

How would you feel?

What would you do?

After the seizure, I'd head outside earlier than I usually do and go about my day. Been on a ton today because of the weather; winter and night-time I spend most of my time on this thing reading and learning. I go without every other day as it is, so it wouldn't be terrible, well, just a little.

i would do the same thing as i do everyday, except have to watch TV more for the news, also have to get the fone hooked up for fone calls since i use the internet for overseas calls.

other than that, my life wouldn't change one bit (as so as i say now!)

With my lousy cable service, this is a fairly frequent occurance here! After getting frustrated and beating uselessly on the monitor for a few minutes, I open the door, shout out curses upon Mediacom at the top of my lungs, gulp down my coffee and then go to work, unfulfilled.

catch 22

Overall, get more stuff done! However, problems would be harder and more expensive to solve.

I'd vegitate for a few years before I came out of my withdrawals. I'd just wrench on my truck all the time instead of spend most of it online. Course, I'd just be broke. That's why I like the net. I learn a lot, and there's no surprise fees.

You would re-discover things like catalogs, libraries, dealing with the post office, reading week old news magazines and generally accepting a slower pace of life. Hmmmmm......not such a bad thing

That would almost be like going from dial-up to broadband, and then back to dial-up.

with the lame overwhelming program that my company uses I would have so much free time I could be say a "helicopter mechanic" not a data input person.

I would go back to reading things that are printed on paper. I confess that 90% of what I read these days is glowing in my face.

... and I love google for finding info on almost anything.
