Same old Tire Question
Last year I posted about what size tire to put on my truck. I never did make up my mind. Now it's finally time to pull the trigger. I have a 2005 XLT 4x2 without a lift. Everytime I read about this topic, it is with folks that either have a lift or a 4x4 of some variant.
My original tires were 255/70R17. I want to use the BFGoodrich TA KO. I don't want to add a lift. Now my question, what size do you recommend? If I go with the 285/70R17, will I encounter excessive tire wear in the middle, due to my tires being too narrow? Should I upgrade to 18" tires? Is that even a viable option? I hate to spend too much. The tires alone are going to run around $800. Thanks in advance.
