Ok, I got my Volare front end installed and really like it. The question now is what type of exhaust manifolds do some of you use? I was thinking Mustang headers (Fox body style) They're short and come out toward the back. Thanks for any help. I do hope this is not a double post, as I did a search and could not find anything, or just didn't know what to ask the search engine. :-)
what size engine are you planning to go with? i went with a 302 with a c4 and volare type front suspension and used the shorties like you have asked about and they worked good . i then went on ebay and found an in expensive H pipe ( about 30 bucks)because the local parts store couldn't come up with an exhaust pipe match . i only used the front section of the H pipe and fabbed the rest together from there. if you go with the shorties i think you will like them . i hope this helps . good luck .
Appreciate the reply. I am going with a 351w and C4. Did you have the change your oil pan to a rear sump to accomadate the front crossmember of the Volare?

yes... that's the only way to get the engine down low enough to fit thru the transmission tunnel. For that engine the pans are easy to find.... I think the Vans of that era used a rear sump... or some had a split sump also... they can also be bought from ford parts stores
