I found a '67 F500 with a straight 6, manual tranny, 45,000 original miles (In theory) and a dump bed. What's the skinny on these trucks. I noticed there's very little the same between this truck and my '68 highboy except for the hood lines. How's the straight 6 as an engine.
I couldn't get inside, so I coudln't dive it but it looked basically OK.
Seller is asking $7,000 which seems outrageous, but maybe I'm wrong. I've been looking for a small dump truck for a long time without success.
Wow, devide that price by ten. Actually I have no Idea what the bigger trucks go for but $7,000 seem like way to much. They put a lot of gearing behind that 300 but Its a great motor and I think It can handle it, not sure what the top speed would be though.
Yes, I've done some looking around and it looks like that truck is worth about $1,500 to $2,500. It's sitting in Napa Valley on Highway 29 and I guess they are hoping that some rich guy will come by and buy it without caring about the price.
