I'm missing the two wire harness that contains a big red wire and a big yellow wire. I know where the yellow wire connects. Does anyone know where the big red wire goes to or comes from (supply)?
I'm guessing it's from the battery, but not sure.........help!
That is a nice site, but I need to know where the big red wire on the sub-woofer back inside the right rear cargo trim, connects to. (Reflug that has just the big yellow and red wires.)
In a normal Ford factory sub install, the red wire is a "GROUND" wire. The yellow is 12 volts.
Really! Mmmm! I would have lost that bet.
But, this is a big red wire that comes off the two wire plug coming out of the amp behind the right rear trim, and I pulled as much of it out of the donor vehicle as I could get, which was about four feet. If it's a ground wire, why wouldn't it be grounded to the body at the unit.
ps there are two plugs that connect into the non-subwoofer unit in the back right behind the trim, on my 94 Explorer, but the 91 donor had three plugs for the subwoofer, the third being this two wire plug which has a big red and yellow wire in it.
So, with all due respect, I do have some doult that it would be ground.
