I sort of liked the idea of an off-road meet, but I guess I am the only one that did. Red Jag has one going on November 11 at the Good-Guys show - but I wonder if there would be any interest in a Central Valley meet at Mikes shop?
We could help him hang his lights, look over his junk (You can spend several hours looking over his projects!) and maybe find something else interesting to do. I still need to learn to run a mig welder. He has about every shop tool there is. . .
I was thinking along the lines of a group of gearheads spending a few hours looking over each others projects, and maybe pizza and beer or soft drinks at our expense. The idea would be not to cause him or his wife any extra work - just a few friends dropping by after work.
Anybody interested?
Also, anyone willing to host such a meet in the north valley? I can be anytime agreeable, except not on the 11th. Weekends or even a weekday night - - - -
I'll be down that way to just west of Fresno over Thanksgiving. Don't know how much time I'll be allowed, wife's family dinner at the aunt & uncles place.
We will be coming down on Weds. late, spending turkey day and probably going home on Friday. I may get to steal some time on Firday for a quick meet somewhere before we take the 6 hour trek home. Ranger will be staying home and the Suby will be travelling.
I'll find out more of exactly where it is we are going, been there before but can't remember how to get there. May come back Sat, who knows? Depends on how it goes, and how many of the chillins are going . . .
