fact tach wire?

hey guys ,, got a prob thought maybe some of you might have allready been there done that .

89 f 250 4x4 5 spd (orig 5.0 FI ) now a 289 points and carb.

i know what some of you are allready thinking, but the truck is used everyday mostly as a farm truck and for me the electronic stuff is more trouble than its worth..the 289 is soooo smooooth you barley know its running , no surging crazy idle or sensors to mess with,,

the 302 gave out so i pulled the 289 out of my old mustang which will later be getting the 429 put in this winter (i hope )

anyway i am down to 2 bugs to be finished

1 which wire goes to the tach from the orig harness so i can reconnect it?

2 which wire runs to the volt guage? (doing a diesel ambulance alt swap) it wires like a gm,, one to poss batt,, one to keyed hot,, and the other to light or volt meter

any help would be great and thanks ahead of time for any replys !!!

ok found the alt wiring for a 90 should be close enough

but still cant find anything on the tach, when using the points to run the tach can i just hook it up to orig tach lead or do i need to unhook the lead going to the ecm since that is where it orig got its pulse from?
