I know that the f150s have full frame rails unlike the mustangs do but does anyone think that the truck would benefit from haveing a strut tower brace or is the frame stiff enough?? I have a 04 heritage reg cab flareside. Does anyone know if they're any aftermarket braces out there for this??
never mind ignore that. i got to looking and realized there were no towers to brace. duh but does anyone know a way to stiffining the front end to keep it more level around turns or would giving my truck a 2inch front, 4 inch rear drop help that out??
yes i do know what sway bars are. i know i sounded like an idiot and like i didnt know what i was talking about when i first started this thread. i'm used to working on stangs not trucks. i havent accually upgraded anything yet since i'm deploying to iraq in 2 weeks. i plan on giving the truck a 2 in front/ 4 in rear drop and geting the lightning swaybar kit from 5.0 resto and seeing how that goes. along with a tuner and a cold air intake to go with my exhaust. i'm doing all of this when i get back along with my 83 mustang project.
We have forum discount going on at the MotorHaven shop that is for FTE members only....keep us in mind when your doing your search for CAI and exhaust. Entering FTEDEAL in the shopping cart will give you 20 bucks off your purchase for orders over 200 dollars.
Since you know Stangs pretty well but not your F150, this is the place to ask as much as you can before hand to make sure you get exactly what your looking for with your ride.
