Pretty sure it has the single caliper brakes.. it has a D44 HP front axle. I installed a D60 but it has the same brakes on it.
No cruise control. It's pretty bare bones.
The brake booster end has 'FT45' stamped in it.
I was hoping I wouldn't have to change the pedal assembly at all.. is there not an f-350 application for 79 that will bolt up on that end? That said I do have a 76 f-250 CC 4x4 with 1 ton running gear (where I got the d60 front from) that may have what I need.
[edit] Ah, sorry, didn't read the latest post. I'll look into that.. THANKS A LOT GUYS!
Here's the engine I'm putting in it:
It's pretty hopped up.. should work well enough for my needs.
i have a 79 crew that i just put new calipers , rubber lines, booster, and m/c on. ordered by vin and the first ons i got did not fit . i ended up getting the stuff for a 78 and they fit. i have been using a local parts store and they have been very helpful.
anna, That's why I link the re-builders page so people have a part number from one company to cross-reference.
Some parts place are online and if they have the URL can go look it up themselves if people from here get all the info ,write it down and take it with them.
I have a 1976 Ford F250 and I also changed the master cylinder and brake booster. Now it has excessive brake drag. It stops but the brake wont come back.... Could it be that the booster is to small? Help...
