2003 F-250
Changes include 6.0L Diesel, supposed to be more HP and more torque, I forget the numbers. Something like 315 HP 525 Torque.
I heard a rumor that they may go to independent front suspension.
2002 was the fifth model year (if you count 99 and 99.5 as two model years). Ford has a habit of changing body styles every five years, so possibly a body style change.
Better hurry up and order the 2002 while you can still get the 7.3.

One of the guys, I think it was NoMo (maybe V10 Gunner), told me about an article @ Blue Oval News regarding a new 5-speed auto planned for 2003. I printed it and will summarize as follows: "Ford has approved an all new transmission to replace the current 4r100 with the 2003 model year. The new transmission will be available in F-series trucks, E-series vans and some Sport utilities. Every component of the new 5R110W is either new or has been significantly imporved. ...enhanced shifting, torque converter to handle 550ft.lbs....later version for 600ft.lbs..the newest transmissions begining August 2002 and will be available for diesel powered applications only. The gasoline version will appear in February 2003. Ford transmission failures assembled by the Sharonville plant have been critizied lately; however, the defects are a result of engineering problems rather than assembly".
Sounds good, hope they work well :-)
