New to Ford,
Just bought a 95 F250 with a power stroke. This is my first diesel and I have a few questions.
1. In all the other diesels I have ridden in you can hear the turbo whistling. However you can only here this one for a second and its very quite. Is this normal?
2. A friend of mine raves about the Lucas diesel additive. What does everybody else use.
3. I heard K&N's were no good for diesels, but, K&N had a problem with the sealing of the originals and that has been fixed. The new ones are the way to go?
4. How come most of Ford trucks I see are missing the center caps on the back rims?

1) The catalytic converter, muffler, and factory airbox shut the turbo right up.
I had my cat cut out in the winter, it made the turbo louder. On saturday I had my exhuast done, 3.5" straight pipe exiting before the rear wheel. No muffler, no cat....go to my exhaust thread and theres a link to a vid of how it sounds now...the turbo is real noisy.

4) my truck never came with any caps.
